Paper Abstract: Stunting is a developmental disorder in children caused by malnutrition, repeated infections, and inadequate psychosocial simulation. One of the indirect factors of stunting is poor sanitation. Open defecation behavior is bad sanitation because open defecation behavior can spread disease vectors which can later cause toddlers to develop infections and lead to stunting. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between open defecation behavior on the incidence of stunting. This research is a descriptive quantitative research with a deductive approach. Based on its purpose, this type of research is explanatory. The research was conducted in Segoropuro Village, Rejoso District, Pasuruan Regency, which is the focus of stunting in 2021 and 2022. The research was conducted from February to May 2023. The sample for this study was 100 people. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The results that have been tested using smartPLS 4 show that each variabel has a t-statistic value that is greater than the t-tabel and a p-value that is less than 0.05. Each variabel of this study has an influence on one another. Therefore it can be concluded that open defecation behavior has a significant influence on the incidence of stunting.
