Presentation Abstract Contact Zones are places created by contact between people. The parties to contact are people from different cultural backgrounds and are rapidly increasing due to globalisation and the Net. This presentation will focus on Travel Writing that fosters an imagined nation-state identity and travel writing as a record of domestic multicultural contact, particularly, Sinophone Travel Writing in Malaysia. Malaysian Sinophone have not been included in the National Literature till now. However, Chok Yen-Hau's travel writing with the photo of Malaysian villages and nature, talk about sharing symbol for all Malaysian Nations. It has a possibility to make a genuine share symbol in future for all Malaysians.
