An Introduction to Publishing with IIAS and Amsterdam University Press

In this session you will learn about the IIAS Publications Series, published by AUP. Mary Lynn van Dijk (IIAS Publications Officer) and Inge Klompmakers (AUP Asian Studies Commissioning Editor) will introduce the four IIAS/AUP Book Series: Asian Cities, Asian Heritages, Global Asia and Humanities Across Borders. They will talk about the publication process from proposal submission, contract signing, draft manuscript submission, peer review, manuscript revision, copy-editing, proof checking through to publication of the book in hardcover and as ebook PDF. Also addressed will be the latest developments in Open Access publishing.

This session is open to everybody but especially to early career scholars who are interested in publishing in subjects pertaining to/affecting cities, heritages, and global Asia.
