Liege University, Belgium
I am a PhD candidate at the University of Liege (Belgium) conducting research rooted in the International Political Economy (IPE) approach to global governance. My work focuses on the European Union's involvement in global investment regulation. I employ the theoretical framework of Heterarchy (Cerny, 2022) and closely align with networks that emphasize this concept as a valuable tool for comprehending complexity (paper presented in EISA, 2023; ISA 2024). While the exploration of complexity within the realm of global governance is not a new endeavor, our effort to understand and navigate it remains a crucial necessity in this era.
To enhance the local impact of my research, I am actively involved in a research group within the Belgian Political Association, which specializes in International Political Economy (IPE). Within this group, I collaborate with fellow researchers to adopt a transdisciplinary approach to our research topic. My specific role in this research group is to bridge the gap between local and global concerns as a significant number of members concentrate on local matters. I was recently appointed to the board of the Research Committee on European Union Integration (RC03) within the International Political Science Association (IPSA).
