Viddy is a research assistant to the project Politics and the Future of Work in Middle-Income Countries (PolDigWork) at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy. He works under supervision of Prof. Achim Kemmerling, the Gerhard Haniel Professor for Public Policy and International Development. Viddy passionately delves into the intricate research realms of digitalization, inclusivity, and the internationalization/regionalization of higher education.
His diverse academic journey is marked by a B.A. in International Relations from Padjadjaran University, Indonesia and a joint-M.A. in European Politics, Society, and Culture in a Global Context from the University of Strasbourg, France; Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland and the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His expansive research portfolio spans a wide spectrum, including an in-depth exploration of higher education and digitalization. Notably, he conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the impact of the inter-regional higher education initiative, EU-SHARE, featuring Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), while also examining higher education regionalism in Southeast Asia. His expertise extends to comparative law and policy, where he analyzed the approaches of Czech and Slovakian policies pertaining to inclusive school systems for youth with Roma origin. Furthermore, his research ventures encompass various facets of society and culture.
