Jeff Neilson is a geographer at the University of Sydney. He has more than 20 years research experience in Southeast and South Asia, having conducted research in Indonesia, India and Vietnam. His current research interests include customary land rights in Indonesia, regional development and environmental governance in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, and the integration of Indonesian coastal communities into global production networks. Jeff is a fluent speaker of Indonesian and he is trying hard to learn Vietnamese.
