Debashree Sinha is an Assistant Professor at Department of English , Deshbandhu College , University of Delhi. Previously she has taught at Assistant Professor Garde III at GD Goenka University, Gurugram. She has also worked as Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of English Studies and Research, Amity University, Noida a period of nearly 7 years (2015-22). Prior to this organized she worked with several reputed government colleges affiliated to Delhi University. She has a doctoral degree from Department of English, University of Delhi. She has a BA (Hons.) from Indraprastha College for Women DU, MA and M. Phil Department in English, from English Department, University of Delhi. Her doctoral research was based on the study of rare and obscure archive of African American women poets of the Harlem Renaissance. She was awarded a pre doctoral Andrew Mellon Fellowship of the Black Metropolitan Research Consortium hosted by the University of Chicago in 2013. She is an advisor to Amity Institute of Drama. Her areas of teaching include Translation Theory, Gender Theory, Literary Theory, African American Studies, Post Colonial Studies, Folk literature, Theatre Studies, Visual Arts and Digital Humanities.
