Dr. Kalindi Sharma is Assistant Professor of Social & Cultural Anthropology at Department of Human Behaviour, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, Delhi. She has completed her PhD in the field of Disaster Studies and Gender in 2015 from the Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi. From 2015 to 2021 she taught at the Amity Institute of Anthropology, Amity University. She has been an Adjunct Faculty at Ambedkar University, Delhi and a tenured Assistant Professor of Sociology at G D Goenka University, Haryana. As a doctoral fellow she has been associated with the EU funded Microdis Project, Global Forum for Disaster Reduction and International Recovery Platform (Japan), Goodweave India, C&A foundation (Europe) and with Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit. She has been a Junior & Senior Research Fellow with Indian Council of Medical Research and has publications in journals of repute such as the International Journal of Foresight and Innovation Policy, The Eastern Anthropologist, and magazines such as World Focus as well as reading content with Indira Gandhi National Open University. She has also guided PhD research on Boko Haram Insurgency in Nigeria. Her areas of teaching include courses on Sociological Theories, Visual Anthropology, Museology, Ecological Anthropology and so on.
