I, Anjana M Nair, am a Ph.D. Scholar at the School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad, India since 2021. I completed my Bachelor’s(2016-2019) and Master’s Degrees in History(2019-2021), and graduated as the First-Rank Holder from the University of Delhi, India. My areas of interest include cultural and social histories involving gender, religion, race, oriental studies, women’s question, global histories etc. My current research topic is “Gendering Violence, Dissent and Punishment: Assertion of Women’s Agency in India”. I aim to critically research marginalized narratives involving gender and race, challenge existing power structures, and foster inclusive spaces for dialogue and progress through impactful advocacy.
