Judicaelle Dietrich is an assistant professor in social geography. She realized her PhD on poverty in the city of Jakarta. Her work focuses on the social relations of domination and how they are rooted in urban space, using subaltern and postcolonial studies. Based on qualitative methodologies, she examines the political production of inequalities in urban space and ordinary inhabitant's practices. As part of the ANR Urbaltour project, she is now investigating Garut hill station (West Java) and its urban trajectory.
