Ratchada Arpornsilp is currently a PhD Candidate in the Resource, Environment and Development Group at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University with support from Endeavour Scholarship Program. She was a Thai Fulbright Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow for 2017-2018 at the International Program, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. She gained M.A. in Inter-Asia NGO Studies from SungKongHoe University, South Korea and M.Sc. in Environmental Governance from the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg. She also had a B.A. in Political Science from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
In Thailand, she worked with the Center for People and Forests (RECOFTC), an International NGO, based in Kasetsart University in Bangkok. She has over 8 years of professional experiences with international NGOs and public agencies working in regional program management across Asia and the Pacific region, including Oxfam Great Britain in Asia, The Good Governance for Social Development and Environment Institute, The Asia Foundation, and National Human Rights Commission of Thailand. With the background in environmental politics, Ratchada drives her technical expertise into an application of interdisciplinary approaches in national and international policy processes in the field of natural resource management, with the focus on environmental landscape governance and sustainable development.
