Iris Wieczorek is senior research fellow at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg (Germany) and representative of the GIGA in Japan. Her current research is focusing on innovation processes and networks in Japanese economy, science and society in international comparison. She has widely published on innovation issues and performance monitoring in Japan and East Asia.
