I am a batik enthusiast with a background in Batik's development program in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan. I created programs to improve the skills of local batik artisans, as well as programs related to batik promotions and exploring new batik motifs. I love traveling throughout Indonesia to learn about its cultural heritage and to keep the timeless art of batik alive. I believe that studying and appreciating batik is more than just an aesthetic pursuit. It is an exploration of identity, stories, and traditions that have been passed down through generations. Further, as a former Secretary of the Balikpapan Creative Economy Forum, I organized exhibitions, workshops, and community initiatives that promote the cultural significance of batik by collaborating with local artisans and local government. I am excited to share my passion for batik at the upcoming conference and engage with fellow cultural enthusiasts.
