Wang Jiabao is Lecturer at Faculty of Creative Arts, University of Malaya. She received her Ph.D. in Cultural Studies in Asia from the National University of Singapore. Her research focuses on the genealogy of the discourse of ‘folk’ or minjian in modern and contemporary China.
