Kelsey E. Scholes is currently enrolled in a PhD program in the Department of Media, Communication, Creative Arts, Languages and Literature (MCCALL) at Macquarie University, Australia. Kelsey was awarded a Master of Research in Languages and Cultures at Macquarie University on April 2023. Her current research project explores the intersections between East Asian popular culture and subculture, social media fandom and queer studies. Kelsey has a particular interest in how fashion assists in the construction and embodiment of identity, and in the complex interplay between masculinity, femininity and stylistic expression.
