Anggun Gunawan is a permanent lecturer in the Publishing Program at the State Polytechnic of Media Kreatif Jakarta and a part-time lecturer at the Vocational School of the University of Indonesia in Depok. He completed her Master's degree in Publishing Media from Oxford Brookes University, UK, in 2020, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. In 2014, he had the opportunity to receive a scholarship to study "Translation Copyright Transaction" in Jakarta and Frankfurt, Germany, courtesy of the Goethe Institut Indonesia.
In mid-2023, he was invited by the Expertise Body for Legislative Formulation of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia as a speaker for the revision of the Law on the National Book System of Indonesia.
His primary area of research revolves around the relationship between knowledge and science with publishing studies, particularly concerning how scientific knowledge is produced, verified, validated, disseminated through media, and consumed by the public.
