Pue, Giok Hun, PhD, is Research Fellow at the Institute of Ethnic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. An anthropologist by training, her research interests revolve on ethnic identity formation and negotiation among minority ethnic groups within the mixed-race and Peranakan phenomena in Malaysia with particular focus on the Peranakan Chinese communities in Kelantan and Terengganu.
