Dongyang Li is a PhD candidate of Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney. His current work focuses on China’s structure of feelings in relation to its forming oceanscape. He is committed to Cultural, Literary and Media Studies with trans- disciplinary approaches. His research interests include Inter-Asian Cultural Studies, Critical Ocean studies, STS Studies, as well as Chinese literature and popular culture. His latest work on Late Qing China’s oceanic imageries is forthcoming in the Brill Series of African and Asian Anthropocene: Studies in the Environmental Humanities.
