Dr. Bipasha Rosy Lakra teaches Political Science at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. She has taught formerly at various colleges of University of Delhi - Miranda House, Hindu College, PGDAV College, Gargi College and Nirmala College, Ranchi University, Jharkhand. She has completed her M.Phil and PhD from the Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.
Her research interest includes- Indian Politics, Subaltern Studies, Indigenous/Tribal Studies, Radical Movements in India and Northeast India Studies. Her academic works have been published in certain journals and edited books. She has presented her research papers in various national and international conferences in India and abroad. She was also selected for the London School of Economics- Inequality and Poverty Programme Adivasi Fellowship hosted by the Department of Anthropology, LSE and the Department of Development Studies, SOAS, 2017. She has been part of the Indigenous Summer Programme hosted by Centre for Ethnicity and Race, Columbia University, New York in 2015 and 2023. Dr. Lakra, has been part of the Virginius Xaxa Committee Report- High Level Committee on Tribal Socio-Economic, Health and Educational Status of Tribal Communities of India, Government of India, 2014.
