Vivien Chan (she/they) is a design historian and imagemaker based in Nottingham, UK. Her research focuses on material culture and the everyday in East and Southeast Asia, with a particular interest in Hong Kong. She is currently in the final stages of her PhD at the University of Nottingham as part of the Cultures of Occupation in Twentieth Century Asia (COTCA) project. Vivien also lectures in Illustration and Design Context at Nottingham Trent University and is one of the current History Workshop Editorial Fellows.
