Xueqing Xu holds a B.A. and M.A. in Chinese literature from Fudan University (Shanghai), and a Ph.D in Chinese literature from the University of Toronto. She now is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at York University. Her research interests are on Chinese Canadian diasporic literature and media, women studies, and modern Chinese literature. Among her publications are a book on Confucius, co-editors of five books, and over forty articles on Chinese Canadian diasporic literature and media, modern Chinese literature, and women writers.
