Prof. Dr. Santi Martini, MD., M.Kes is a professor in disease epidemiology and Dean in the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Airlangga since 2020. Prof. Santi obtained her doctorates from the Universitas Airlangga . She graduated from School of Medicine Universitas Airlangga and Master Program of Gadjah Mada University, She’s also chief of Tobacco Control Support Centre (TCSC) of Indonesia Public Health Association East Java. She’s conducted many research related to non-communicable diseases and the risk factors such as stroke, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, nasopharygeal cancer, smoking behavior among youth and as well, epidemiology of COVID-19. She is a collaborator for Global Burden Study (GBD) study lead by Institute Health Metric and Evaluation (IHME) University of Washington. She has published many articles in various International Journals. Prof. Santi also works with local government to create smoke free area regulation since 2008, and she gets support form The Union International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease since 2014 until now. She also gets funding for doing research and community services from national and international funding agency such as World Bank, NKI-AVL, and WHO.
