Ohsoon Yun

Yun Ohsoon Ethiopian Culture Research Institute, Republic of Korea

Ohsoon Yun is an Ethiopian coffee expert, author, and entrepreneur from South Korea. She holds a Master's degree in Sociology from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan, and a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Exeter in the UK, where she focused on coffee tourism in Ethiopia.



With a passion for Ethiopian coffee, Ohsoon runs a coffee company and a specialty roastery cafe in Seoul, South Korea where she imports, roasts, and brews premium Ethiopian coffee. She also works as a freelance writer and consultant, sharing her knowledge and insights on the global coffee industry and cross-cultural understanding.



Ohsoon has published several books in Korean language about Ethiopian coffee and Ethiopia, and writes an opinion column titled "World Journey with Coffee" for a major newspaper.



As a sought-after public speaker, Ohsoon frequently gives talks on topics related to Ethiopia and Ethiopian coffee. With a wide network in the Ethiopian coffee industry and valuable insights into the international coffee trade, she is committed to advancing the frontier of coffee tourism research and promoting cross-cultural understanding through her work.
