Global Health Tourism encompasses the complex of health and well-being of individuals and populations, taking into account factors such as social determinants, access to healthcare services, and the impact of disease and health disparities across the globe. Combined with the phenomenon of people traveling abroad to access medical treatment as "Medical Tourism," has gained significant attention in both academic and popular media. Given that global health tourism is fundamental theme of human right, governments and organizations prioritizing efforts toward achieving equitable healthcare access and addressing the inequalities that exist, either one aspect of health tourism that is often overlooked is the cultural and social differences between medical tourists and their care providers. Healthcare systems and policies are promoting global health interconnectedness of countries, collaboration and cooperation to address common health challenges. Cultural competence and intercultural sensitivity are crucial in ensuring the success and satisfaction of health tourism experiences. Medical tourism patients, traveling abroad for non-emergent medical treatment, and health tourism, to all activities undertaken by tourists to improve their physical and mental health, are closely related but multihelix concepts. They both contribute to the booming health and medical tourism industry, which has become a global phenomenon as the Megatrend challenges.
