Margaretha is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. Since 2004, she has also been a counsellor for children and adolescents, in which she provides counselling intervention for cases of autism, psychosocial and migration problems, behavioural problems, gender identity formation, violence and trauma. As a researcher, she focuses on the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents, Developmental Psychopathology and Forensic Psychology, whose works are oriented toward academic dissemination and translated into community projects. She graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Universitas Airlangga), Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology - Neuropsychology (University of Newcastle), Graduate Certificate of Education (University of Adelaide), and Research Master in Behavioural Sciences (Utrecht University). She is working on her PhD at the Department of Paediatrics, the University of Melbourne, on a project to formulate a school-based mental health promotion framework in Indonesia. This contingent research maps the school mental health needs, reviews policies, and evaluates barriers and enablers to implementation to develop strategies for leveraging mental health support and services at schools in Indonesia.
