Silas Oghenemaro Emovwodo is pursuing his PhD in Professional Communication and the Media at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, with a research focus on digital advocacy and environmental sustainability, and Research Associate at Theatre Emissary International (TEMi) Lagos, Nigeria. Silas is a communicator, educator, and project development enthusiast with over 5 years of experience in journalism, development, and volunteering. Recognized consistently for performance excellence and contributions to success in media, education, and youth development with an academic background across Peace & Development Studies, Theatre, and Communication studies.
Silas bagged a Master of Communications from Airlangga University, Indonesia; a Master of Arts in Peace and Development Studies from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria; a certificate in Theatre from the Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI) Surakarta, Indonesia, and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Bowen University, Nigeria. He was Vice President of Rebranding Nigeria (RBN) Group, Co-Founder of CeritAfrika Initiative, Surakarta, Indonesia, and is currently an editor for Plaudit Magazine. He does research on communication and media, sustainability, media, theatre, and arts for peacebuilding, climate change, and environmental governance, among others.
