Ph.D. (2002) in Semiotics/Folklore from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and PDF for
Semiotic Study of Tolkappiyam from CECT-CIIL, Mysore. He has authored 3 books, jointly
edited 7 books, and published about 25 articles. Participated and presented papers at conferences and
seminars in India and abroad. Finally, he received the Presidential Award
for Young Scholar in Classical Tamil (2012) and the UGC Research Award (1916-1918)
