Myra Mentari Abubakar is a current PhD candidate at the School of Culture, History, and Language. Colleg of Asia and Pacific. The Australian National University.
Myra also currently serves as a visiting research fellow in the history department at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Her dissertation, titled "A Study of Female Heroism in Indonesia," analyses the evolution of the notion of female heroism in Indonesia from the eighteenth century to the present.
She holds a Master of Education from the University of Canberra. She receives an Evans Fellowship from Cambridge University's Department of Social Anthropology in 2023.
