Shenglan Zhou

Research Centre for Communication and Culture - Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Portugal

I hold a PhD in Communication Studies from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and a MA in Asian Studies from the same institution. My undergraduate degree is a BA in Portuguese Language and Culture from Tianjin Foreign Studies University. I am currently a researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture within the Faculty of Human Sciences at UCP. My primary research areas encompass propaganda and nationalism in Asian education systems. I have authored publications on the commercialization and mediatization of romantic relationships in contemporary China, as well as nationalist propaganda in the Chinese education system.
