Chris K. K. Tan is a lecturer at the Singapore Management University. His current research focuses on the intersections between affect and communicative technologies, especially the cell phone, in China. Trained as an anthropologist, he is the author of the book "Stand Up for Singapore? National Belonging among Gay Men in the Lion City" (Routledge, 2022). He previously published in such journals as "Urban Studies," "Media, Culture & Society," and "Information, Communication & Society."
