Dr. XUE Xuan is a Research Fellow at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore. She is engaged in the study of vernacular art and architecture in both urban and rural settings across Asia, with a particular focus on the symbiotic relationship between arts and place. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is also an architectural designer, actively participating in the rural revitalization in China. Her completed projects include the Sofa Pavilion on the Bridge for Yangdeng Town, Zunyi, China in 2020, and the Suspended Pavilion for Chayuan Village, Zhejiang, China in 2018.
