Fernando A. Santiago, Jr., Ph.D., is Associate Professor of History at De La Salle University, Manila. He is Director of the Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub at the same university, where he also served previously as Assistant Dean for Research and Advanced Studies of the College of Liberal Arts.
He has served in the capacities of Vice-President of the Philippine Historical Association (PHA), member of the Social Science Research Ethics Board (SSREB) of the Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC), and member of the Advisory Council of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). His research interests include rural history, Maritime Southeast Asian history, local history, oral history, and biographies.
