Belén García-Noblejas holds a PhD on Geography, Anthropology and African and Asian Studies, Autonomous University of Madrid. She is currently an Assistant Professor on International Relations at Waseda University (Tokyo). Her current research is focused on the application of Corpus-based Critical Discourse Analysis on China's official rhetoric as a legitimating tool. From 2019 to September 2023 she was a professor of International Relations at Francisco de Vitoria University and the Pontifical University of Comillas in Spain; and associate professor at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).
She has parallelly coordinated cultural exchange projects between Spain and Asia, among which are the curatorship of the international art exhibitions in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in China in 2023; or the Spanish representation at Jarasum International Jazz Festival in 2022, in South Korea.
Previously, she worked as the cultural coordinator at Instituto Cervantes in Beijing (2015-2018), and an intern at the Cultural Department of the UNESCO Office in the same city. She received a full scholarship from the Chinese Government for her Master's degree in International Relations at the Shanghai University of Foreign Studies, where she graduated in 2016.
